Tuina Massage
Tuina focuses on restoring balance in the human body through special meridian massage and mobilization techniques. A free flow of energy is stimulated by massaging of the meridians.
Tuina uses techniques such as rubbing, pressing, kneading, turning, pinching, rotating movements and beating. The therapist uses both his fingers, palms, fists and elbows. The choice and variation of the manipulation techniques depends on the disease and the complaints of the patient.
Tuina is most commonly used in case of complaints related to joints, the spine, muscles and tendons or simply for a wonderful physical and mental relaxation. The massage removes physical and emotional blockages, cleanses the organs, promotes blood flow and improves the body’s resistance. In a safe and friendly way Tuina helps you get back into balance, regaining wellness and a fitter condition. People can book a Tuina massage for relaxation or as a meridian massage. A massage is approximately 60 minutes.
IN BALANCE BY MASSAGE AND RELAXATION
Moxa
A Moxa therapy treatment is very suitable for expelling cold from the body and in particular cold that has gotten into the body from the outside. You can think of a draft from a window, moisture and cold after a rain shower or dampness. A Moxa stick is used for treatment. Such a stick is made from compressed mugwort and is ignited. With the smoke that comes of the stick, the affected area is heated to release the blockage (s). In addition, Moxa strengthens the organs.
Cupping/Gua Sha
With cupping, cups are placed on the body and vacuumed. This pulls germs out of the body and stimulates blood circulation. Blood is drawn to the surface and urges the body to purify.
Gua Sha provides body and blood purification in a different way. With the help of a “scraper” and a special herbal oil, the body is stimulated in short, firm strokes from top to bottom to release blockages in muscles, lymph nodes and blood.
